  • Originates ideas and advises on design, layout, and use of media.
  • Responsibilities encompass the three phases of production: preproduction, in-production, and post-production.
  • Performs technical work, including the operation of digital cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Directs the technical and artistic development of multimedia programs, including the preparation of artwork, animation, compositing, narration, dialogue, sound effects, and music required for production.
  • Digitizes, logs, edits, encodes, and posts final production as directed.
  • Prepares slide presentations and public service announcements to promote community outreach activity.
  • Creates and prepares artwork and graphic design material for publications.
  • Assists in setting up and running a variety of multimedia equipment. Conducts research for audio-visual materials and devices and utilizes new techniques and technologies to meet upcoming trends.
The California Governer's Office of Emergency Services, Audio-Visual Specialist (Technical) certification list is being utilized to recruit for this position. Applicants with The California Governer's Office of Emergency Services, Audio-Visual Specialist (Technical) certification list eligibility MUST also meet the minimum qualifications for the Audio-Visual Specialist (Technical) classification in order to be eligible for an appointment.
