The Audit Intake Specialist provides guidance, support, and oversight to his/her designated facilities to ensure effective management and timely response to all government and applicable payer audits.

Schedule: This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday- Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create, track and upload all government and commercial audits correctly in the audit tracking tool using Veracity
  • Review and manage all correspondence from the auditing bodies
  • Responsible for uploading all audit documentation into tracking tool
  • Responsible for working directly with facilities to respond and resolve any audit issues
  • Track and provide oversight to vendors and facilities to assure timely submission of medical records and appeals
  • Responsible for assuring all tasks are completed within the established timeframe
  • Maintains database integrity. Escalates concerns to leadership
  • Collaborate with Clinical Educator on new information regarding all audit activity
  • Collaborate with the leadership to discuss any education needs for facilities

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of healthcare experience
  • Proven understanding of the Audit Response process and audit intake requirements
  • Proven comfortability working in different systems: Payer Portal, EFR, Veracity, EDM
  • Proven knowledge and familiarity of government (Medicare and Medicaid) and commercial payers audits
  • Proven highly motivated
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
  • Proven detail oriented and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proven excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
