Authorized Officer, Software Engineer

We're looking for an Authorized Officer, Software Engineer to:

• Design, develop, and improve the digital products we provide to our clients.
• Apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment.
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues.
• Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs.
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.
• Provide ownership and support of applications by owning investigation and resolution of L3 Prod Support activities, maintenance, technology upgrades, and compliance to enterprise requirements.

Your expertise

• Education & Experience Requirement
• This position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer or related occupation.

• Alternate Education & Experience Requirement
• The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer or related occupation.

• Position requires experience with the following:
• Java development in an enterprise environment
• Spring framework
• Messaging Technologies
• SQL databases such as Oracle, Sybase, and PostGres
• Unix and shell scripting
• Software Development Lifecycle
• Software version control such as GIT or Subversion
