Insight Global has an immediate opening for an experienced Cloud Architect. The role of the Cloud Architect is to work with the business, functional, and technical teams to define, document, educate, implement, and support cloud-based solutions to meet business objectives. As a cloud architect you will work with business, functional, and technical teams throughout the design and implementation of objectives to ensure that the overall composition of the solution meets the goals of the Architecture team and its business sponsors.
In this role, you will: conduct design reviews of new and existing architectures, create reference architectures and standards to enable effective solution delivery, design solutions for performance optimization, and design automation solutions for reusability and consistency.
Additional responsibilities for this position include:
Collaborates with Enterprise and Solution Architect Teams to review solution design, any new implementation or introduction of new technology to ensure compliance with the clients standards
Collaborates and mentors technical teams to ensure that cloud-based solutions are implemented effectively and efficiently
Creates detailed architectural specifications to document the architecture decisions; communicates the architectural specifications to designers, developers, contractors and business sponsors in a directly actionable, clear and unambiguous manner
Identifies technical risks upfront and brings it to the attention of management
Ensure cloud-based solutions are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and standards
Keeps current on cloud technology trends both in the industry as a whole and with the applications deployed in the client's landscape, including researching and implementing new and/or alternate technologies that will further business goals and provide competitive advantages
Develops cloud migration strategies that help organizations transition from on-premises infrastructure to cloud-based solutions
Drives efficient cloud automation methodology for full infrastructure-as-code development and deployment
Provides technical leadership throughout the project life-cycle
Provides technical support to the IT team and stakeholders to ensure that cloud-based solutions are functioning effectively and efficiently

Required Skills & Experience

* Experience architecting and developing scalable, distributed or web-based applications and architecture experience
* Experience with some or all of these cloud concepts: Infrastructure as a Service, Serverless Architecture, Container Architecture, Platform as a Service, Storage, Infrastructure as Code, and Identity and Access Management
* Experience designing solutions using the Azure suite of PaaS offerings such as Application Gateway, APIM, Azure AKS, Azure AD B2C, Azure Cosmos, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, etc
* Experience provisioningand managingAzureInfrastructureusing automation
* Experience migrating applications to the Azure cloud
* Strong problem solving characteristics with the ability to think out of the box
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal team members as well as business stakeholders and enjoys working with others in a collaborative fashion

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Experience using Terraform to perform infrastructure as code preferred
