An Offshore Operator is looking for an Automation Communication Technician III to join their maintenance team. This role will be based in The Woodlands, TX with occasional travel, as needed. This is a long term contract role that will be extended on an annual basis. This person will offer alternative solutions in automation network design and philosophies, advanced abilities troubleshooting automation network infrastructure. They will install, program, maintain, or repair automation network and security system. This role applies knowledge in design reviews and process hazard analysis. This role will be responsible for testing and checking the system for weakness in software and hardware, maintain firewalls, VPN's, servers and switches, and configure and install security infrastructure devices.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of Automation experience within O&G
5+ years of experience supporting GOM Facilities in the OT network
In depth understanding of automation network control systems
Proficient in PLC programming, HMI development and network structure
Ability to communicate and report network security issues
Mastery knowledge of well RTU designs, programming and troubleshooting
Mastery knowledge of technical standards and guidelines (API, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ISA, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of maintaining local HMI operator interfaces
