Role reports to: MS&T Automation Support Lead

Location: Fort Washington PA

What Will You Do

This position will provide technical leadership and OT (Operational Technology) / automation / process control support to the Fort Washington, PA and Lititz, PA manufacturing plants. These facilities are highly automated and produce consumer goods on a 24/7 basis. The position will be responsible for providing technical support for manufacturing troubleshooting and quality investigation. They will lead/participate in development of short and long term solutions to prevent recurrence of technical support issues. They will support the site automation team and projects including developing project scope, user requirements, qualification plans, approving equipment specifications and documentation to meet current company, corporate and government requirements.

This role is 2nd shift-3pm-11pm. Shift premium applies. Candidate will train for 3-6 months on first shift and when training is complete, will move to 2nd shift

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to troubleshoot any active shop floor issues at both the Fort Washington and Lititz sites (On-call support may be required after regular working hours and will rotate between engineers).

• Assists and executes automation assignments for simple projects (limited complexity)

• Tracks and trends data for troubleshooting or optimizing current processes and manufacturing equipment to provide measurable improvements in step change, productivity, quality, cost, and safety results.

• Prepares reports, analyzes and summarizes data, and recommends conclusions based on engineering/technical rationale. May approve reports based on area expertise and training.

• Responsible for the technical support for manufacturing trouble shooting and quality investigations. Participates in development of short and long term solutions to prevent recurrence

• Conducts interdependent partnering with cross-functional peer group.

• Participates as a technical team member or technical representative on cross functional teams.

• Assist with Reviews and Executions of Computer System Validation documentation such as plans, protocols and reports as required.

• Ability to solve problems of limited complexity and scope. Must be able to develop methodology to solve problems with the guidance of the supervisor.

• Maintains training proficiency on cGMPs, SOP's, testing procedures, and data analysis as required.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's of science degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Computer Science is required. Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or any other engineering discipline is required.

• Relevant experience in engineering, technical, and/or operations experience is required.

• Oral and written communication and presentation skills are required.

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of cGMPs and Good Documentation Practices is preferred.

Experience working in FDA/cGMP compliance environment preferred.

• Knowledge in computer system validation (CSV) or in commissioning, qualification and validation is preferred.

• Knowledge and experience with ISA-88 Batch Control standards

• Knowledge of PLC programming of Rockwell PLCs (RSLOGIX 5, 500, 5000, Studio) / ladder logic, AVEVA Wonderware Products (System Platform, InTouch, InBatch, Workflow, MES)

• Project Management Skills preferred

• Process Excellence and Problem solving knowledge preferred. Word processing programs (e.g. WORD), spreadsheet applications (e.g. EXCEL), project application (e.g. PROJECT) and presentation applications(e.g. POWERPOINT) preferred.
