Position Summary
Develops complex and innovative logistic OMR solutions that makes the difference and add value for our customers in the mobile robotics & Automation markets. Build a (long-term) relationship with your equals, you listen, make an inventory of the needs of the customer, analyze logistic processes, and ask the right questions to provide sound professional advice to support their business. In addition, preparation of the quotes with the goal of generating profitable contracts.
Work closely with Business Development (BD), combining commercial and technical competences. Requires thinking in terms of opportunities, without losing the sight of risks. Regarding the system solution the SC is the spider in the web between the customer, the internal Engineering, Supply Chain and Project Management organization and so fully responsible for the preparation of budgets and the logistics solution offered, primarily focus is on management of Key Account to establish uniformity of the solutions and a harmonized way of working across multiple projects at System Consultancy level. Staying informed of market developments, technological developments and not losing sight of the competition is essential. Traveling to customer sites is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL
• Understanding of customer's business case and requirements of an opportunity, providing consultancy to customers, development of a logistic solution including preparation of budgets and concluding proposal in line with the BD strategy.
• Development and optimization of complex logistic projects with high dynamics and multiple interfaces.
• Provide technical support to sales and Bus Dev teams.
• Attend site visits of customer/prospect facilities. Develop rough order of magnitude (ROMs) documents.
• Expertise in data and process analyses, plays a leading role at the concept stage, and directs the customer and engineering teams on process and concept level, is the expert, has knowledge of optimizing material flow strategies.
• Leading innovation projects during the sales phase, in line with the product roadmap.
• Identify and analyze the customer's needs, understands customer's business case for new innovations, beyond the actual project, ensure the application is commercially viable, translating business requirements into design of products, concepts, and applications as input to the development process.
• Develop fixed and final price proposals (FFPs) and submit for approval. Conduct pricing of bids with Cost/Calcs.
• Responsible as System Consultant for multiple Key-Accounts, and gives direction to standardization of products, interfaces, and way of working across multiple KA projects.
• Working in a multidisciplinary and multi-national team.
• Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical and/or Electrical and/or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree would be a plus.
• Have 5-8 years of work experience in a comparable commercial B2B position within a technical and capital goods working environment.
• Commercial, customer and result-oriented and you have an affinity with material handling and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in particular.
• Work independently, you are a self-starter, you act proactively, and you deliver quality.
• Ability to exhibit impact and influence with excellent communication skills in speech and writing.
• In addition to the English language, you also preferably speak Dutch and German.
• Good at building relationships and networking with your equals.
• Creative, entrepreneurial, and commercial thinking.
Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
