Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The purpose of this role is to temporarily fill the Automation Technician role until a qualified candidate is hired. Those filling the interim role may be considered for the permanent Automation Technician role if they exhibit the following characteristics:
• Proactive in learning required skills
• Works well with others and demonstrates a team player characteristic
• Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot problems and consistently restart automation stoppages
• Works safely and follows all lock out procedures
• Completes job responsibilities listed below

Those filling the interim role will be assessed after 45 days on the job. At that time the Leader of Automation Engineering will determine if the interim assignment will be extended. This will also be an opportunity for those filling the interim role to return to their previous job if they so choose.

The interim Automation Technician's primary responsibility is to ensure automated cells run safely and efficiently. This will require the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems. In this role the Interim Automation Technician will be the on-shift automation expert. They will be required to work independently to identify and resolve problems, while working closely with manufacturing team leads and other technical personnel to keep the automated equipment operating.
