Job Summary/Basic Function
Individual will work with the Automotive Departments at Weber State University. The department is located at the Davis Campus. Duties will include organizing and controlling supplies, tools, and equipment; maintenance and cleaning of lab equipment, including lathes, mills, welders, and other fabricating equipment; assisting professors and other technicians with lab operation; and maintaining the appearance of lab equipment. The position reports to the department chair. This is a 9-month position. The hours worked will be distributed across 12 months.

Required Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year full-time related experience
- The successful candidate will be required to become forklift certified.
- A Utah driver's license is required as a condition of employment.
- Experience with computer applications.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of general carpentry, plumbing, pneumatics and hydraulics, electrical, light custodial, general shop maintenance procedures and associated tools.
- Machine shop experience a plus. Automotive shop experience a plus.
- Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Windows, WORD, EXCEL, and Google applications.
