Insight Global is hiring two Automotive Prototype Build Technicians for an autonomous vehicle manufacturing company. The Technicians will help to set up assembly areas, build prototype components and systems, install those systems on the autonomous trucks, configure and bring up new vehicles, and perform end of line testing and system debugging.

What you will do:

Install autonomous sensors to the trucks (Radars, Lidars, Cameras, Modems, computers, antennas and other electronic components)

Install wiring harnesses on the trucks

Perform repairs according to work instructions and document results

Take the initiative in understanding, communicating, and resolving any vehicle issues and concerns

Maintain the machine shop, tools and inventory needed for the shop

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience building prototype or small and/or production run vehicles

A degree in manufacturing, mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent field or technicians certificate plus relevant experience and training

Excellent working knowledge of mechanical and electronic components of vehicles

Ability to think logically and remove bias from evaluation of problems - demonstrate problem-solving skills while isolating, documenting, and tracking issues systematically

A driver's license with a clean driving record

Proven experience as an auto mechanic

Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs frequently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
