Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Part-time adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment. Salary commensurate with education and experience of the applicant.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Automotive Technology and a minimum of 3 years of recent, related occupational experience.
§ Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of an Associate's Degree.

§ Years of teaching experience may be considered in lieu of recent occupational experience.
  • Current Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications will be required for any subject area (A1-A8, L1) to be taught. Additionally, the ASE G1 is required for all instructors.
  • Must exhibit effective work and communication skills in a multi-cultural and diverse workforce and student population.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience in any secondary, private or community college's Automotive setting.
  • Curriculum development experience
  • Recent technician experience in a new car dealership environment
  • Forklift certified, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • VA State Inspection License, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
