The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest autumn intern in the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC) in our Mobile Sources Section in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Your future's so bright (interning with us) you'll need sunglasses.

As a college intern, you'll receive training and orientation on various aspects of our air pollution control program. You'll assist supervisor in research and review of technical documents related to compliance with federal and state environmental rules and regulations.

You'll assist with audit program and conduct covert audits of test stations. You'll flex your information management skills by entering and compiling data, editing reports, and maintaining records.

  • Participate in Ohio EPA's College Intern program by assisting the technical staff with routine duties.
  • Assist the Unit Supervisor in research and review of technical documents related to compliance with federal and state environmental rules and regulations.
  • Assist with audit program and performs field work including conducting covert audits of test stations.
  • Enters and compiles data, prepares, and edits reports and maintains records.

Qualifications

  • MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN COLLEGE DEGREE PROGRAM DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE POSITION OR HAVE RECENTLY GRADUATED WITHIN THE QUARTER/SEMESTER IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE START DATE.
  • Major area of study: Environmental Science, Water Resources, Chemistry or Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Chemical).
  • Knowledge of safety practices, public relations, Agency policies and procedures and permits as applicable.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Skills in computers (word processing and database work).
  • SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE.
