Position Overview

Extron's AV Systems Design Engineer/Programmers focus on supporting Extron's Control System hardware and software solutions. Control Systems Programmers create code for control systems solutions and conduct systems design for control systems in audio visual applications. They also provide phone and onsite technical support, conduct control system commissioning, and support control systems product training.

Responsibilities:

• Development of control system solutions.
• Support of Extron Control System Solutions.
• Technical support of control system products and applications.
• Onsite support and commissioning of control systems.
• Control System design.
• Collaborate with technical managers, sales managers and AV system design engineers to ensure that programmed solutions meet customer expectations.
• Author and maintain service estimates and scope of work documentation for programming projects.
• Some travel will be required.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience programming control systems for use in Audio/Video systems.
• 5+ years of experience in designing control systems for use in Audio/Video systems.
• 3 + years of experience programming in Python or other object-oriented language
• Experience on Developing and Servicing AV System Solutions is a plus.
• Experience working with computer networks other IT solutions a plus.
• Experience working with graphical image editing tools for UI design is a plus.
• Experience working with REST APIs used by AV resources is a plus.
• Experience with development and testing AV device control modules is a plus.
• US Government Security Clearance preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.
• Some travel will be required.
