Job Purpose/Summary:
The Avionics, Electrical & Instrumentation Technician I is responsible for the Assembly, Inspection, Repair and Troubleshooting of aircraft avionics, electrical (high and low voltage) and instrumentation systems on rotorcraft in support of Test and Evaluation Programs. This position ensures the safe execution of assembly, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections, functional testing, and troubleshooting in accordance with applicable Supernal and industry guidelines.

PR: $40 - $48

Required Skills & Experience

Responsibilities and Duties
o Interface with Program & Project Leaders, Engineering, Safety, Quality Management, Procurement, Program Management Office, and Test organization members
o Develop and manufacture special purpose instrumentation, cable and wiring assemblies, laboratory test equipment, and fixtures.

o Maintain Absolute Safety Around High Voltage Power Systems
o Participate in Risk Assessments and Evaluations
o Test electronic components and circuits to locate defects, using signal generators, amp meters, and voltmeters and other measurement equipment
o Calibrate, test and functionally check instrumentation, analyzers, control systems and other test equipment
o Read and interpret various aircraft drawings, schematics reports or specifications.
o Utilization or various test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters electronic bridges, loop calibrators) and hand tools.
o Complete all written and electronic records (work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed
o Work directly engineering and operations to resolve problems and procure
o Must maintain a clean working environment at all times
o Must be familiar with standard and non-standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the aviation field
o Performs build-up and maintenance of test articles, ensuring that quality objectives, configuration control, and conformity requirements are met
o Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
o Minimum GED or HS diploma required; college degree preferred
o Minimum of five (5) years of experience (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered for this role)
o Rotorcraft Experience
o Experimental Flight Test Experience Preferred

Required Skills:
o Knowledge High / Low Voltage Power Systems and Safe Working Practices
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
o Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
o Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Licenses / Certifications:
o Airframe and Power Plant License Preferred
