A company is seeking a talented and motivated Avionics Engineering Technician to join our Avionics team (in specific, the rocket motor portion of the team). The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working hands-on with avionics systems, aircraft wiring harness, rocket motors and electrical/mechanical installations. The Avionics Engineer Technician works within the Avionics Engineering team to support development, testing, and maintenance of avionics systems. The AET performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, and performs recurring work independently. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions.
Development of avionics test benches per Engineering specification and requirements
Maintenance and troubleshooting of lab hardware
Aircraft wiring harnesses assembly
Prototype Hardware
o Assemble circuit boards
o Assemble breadboard and deadbug circuits
o PCB design for prototypes and lab hardware
Avionics lab maintenance and upkeep
o Equipment organization and checkout
o Maintenance and stock of electrical components parts kits
Electronic flight hardware assembly, rework, and modification

PR: $38-$40

Required Skills & Experience

3 or more years of relevant avionics or electrical technician experience
Experience with propulsion (rocket motors)
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and written communication skills
