Job Description
Directs the development, coordination and administration of policies, services and programs that optimize operational functions to improve the clinical outcomes and financial performance of the International Patient Services Division. Collaborates with leadership to identify best practices, develop operational strategies and cost effective solutions to increase overall program volume/revenue. Participates in the development and implementation of financial, operational and strategic planning activities to identify efficiencies and potential enhancements in program offerings/services . Facilitates quality improvement initiatives and cross-business unit collaboration. Works with external partners, foreign and domestic governmental bodies, and community based organizations to advance the care of international patients.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develops leaders and drives programs and initiatives that support and impact the International Patient Services Division, as well as overall Northwell health system goals.
• Develops and articulates a long-term strategic vision for the International Patient Services Division.
• Promotes quality and productivity improvements through involvement in the development of improved procedures, process innovations and changes which support the strategic direction of the health system; plans and implements the utilization of information resources to support the strategic direction and operation of the organization.
• Researches, develops and coordinates the implementation of strategic plans, policies and standards to maximize programmatic success while managing program expense.
• Participates in planning, organizing and coordinating financial policies and practices to control revenues, disburse funds and conserve assets; monitors fiscal operations including, fiscal accounting, reporting and control; billing and payroll;
third party reimbursement and contracting; regulatory cost reporting, internal auditing and budget coordination and forecasting.
• Collaborates with leadership to identify best practices and deficiencies, develop performance improvement strategies and cost effective solutions; identifies new opportunities, tests new ideas and ensures implementation.
• Participates in the planning, design, implementation and support of information systems, networks and departmental applications to improve efficiencies; interprets and standardizes all fiscal and regulatory reporting standards to ensure compliance with government and regulatory reporting and third-party agencies.
• Directs the implementation of Human Resources plans to achieve strategic goals and objectives including organizational development, recruiting, compensation, training and development and employee relations.
• Directs the management and development of professional contacts and community support through identifying and developing new business initiatives and opportunities.
• Represents the business unit with various internal and external partners and manages joint operating committees as needed.

Job Qualifications:
• Master's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 10-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.

- Experience in Establishing International Healthcare Operations: Proven ability to set up and manage international offices or partnerships, including navigating regulatory requirements, cultural nuances, and logistics.
- Network of Global Healthcare Contacts: Possesses an established network of relationships with international healthcare providers, insurance companies, or government agencies to facilitate patient referrals and partnerships.
- Strategic Understanding of Medical Tourism Landscape: Strong understanding of global healthcare trends, competitive landscapes, and key success factors within the medical tourism industry.
