Qualification :

Bachelor - in science, engineering or equivalent

Salary and Other Compensation :

The annual salary for this position is between $[85,000- 115,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Applications will be accepted until 5/15.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs. • Collaborate with cross-funcJonal teams to gather requirements, architect soluJons, and implement features that meet business needs. • OpJmize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring smooth operaJon under high load. • Implement best pracJces for code quality, tesJng, and deployment automaJon. • Conduct code reviews, provide construcJve feedback, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of conJnuous learning and improvement. • Troubleshoot and debug producJon issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement soluJons to prevent recurrence. • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating new tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and productivity. • Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy and manage backend services in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). • Collaborate with frontend engineers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems. • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to provide project updates, status reports, and technical recommendations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives and develop scalable solutions. - Design and implement robust high-performing applications using Python and SQL. - Apply best practices for efficient data management and manipulation. - Utilize advanced SQL techniques to solve complex data-related challenges. - Contribute to the development and optimization of our payments processing platform. - Ensure code quality and maintainability by adhering to coding standards and conducting thorough code reviews. - Identify and integrate new technologies and methodologies to improve development efficiency. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. - Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in Cards & Payments technology. - Participate in continuous learning opportunities to enhance technical skills. - Support the deployment of applications to production and monitor their performance. -Qualifications - Proven experience with Python SQL and a solid understanding of the Cards & Payments domain is required. - Familiarity with TSQL Apache Spark AWS services (IAM S3 DevOps Glue Catalog CloudWatch Aurora RDS Cloud Formation) and Java technologies is highly desirable. - Strong foundation in data modeling database performance optimization and database administration. - Experience in risk management practices and strategies is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
