SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY:

Responsible for providing supervision for one or more functions within a department. Formally plans, assigns, and coordinates the work of these functions. Responsible for performing some non-supervisory duties in addition to supervisory responsibilities. Will perform staff evaluations and make recommendations regarding pay and/or performance.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Reporting to the Director of DevOps as a Cloud Operations Team Lead, you will use your expertise to help customers solve challenging problems through innovative technology solutions.

* Cloud Operations Team Lead is responsible for 24x7x365 daily operations of Computer Network Systems, Applications, Datacenter, and Cloud Environments. Responsibilities includes providing 7x24x365 notification, escalation, and resolution of all severe technology issues impacting normal cloud, system operations, and data center.

* In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management of the Cloud Operations Team, within the organization. Lead various Projects and participate in Technical Review Board. Support all aspects of IT infrastructure and/or application and system delivery. Also responsible for generating and providing comprehensive portfolio status reports to the Director of DevOps and project stakeholders.

* The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable with Microsoft Azure, both from the IT infrastructure and IT applications perspective.

* The candidate must be a self-starter, quick learner of new technology (virtual infrastructure, containers, databases etc.), and be highly motivated.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

* Effective leadership skills to manage technical project implementations and managing the work of IT & System engineers, and others.

* Ability to automate on boarding of teams and users into Azure environments.

* Ability to maintain and support cloud infrastructure and networking.

* Must have detailed understanding of Technology Architecture & Workflow Planning.

* Must experience to drive continual improvement of cloud capabilities.

* Must be able to apply critical thinking skills in a decision-making process, using specific techniques for assessing and prioritizing costs, risks, and benefits among other criteria for decision-making.

* Must be able to rely on vast experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

* Advanced experience designing, implementing, and managing high availability/clustering and disaster recovery environments.

* Expert skill administering Microsoft Windows Active Directory environment including domain services, sites and services, users and computers, and group policy administration.

* Expert skill administering Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and above.

* Strong troubleshooting experience with VMware & Hyper-V infrastructure.

* Advanced engineering experience with tiered storage, DR, and replication technologies.

* Proven experience working with NAS and SAN devices such as EMC Xtreme IO, and EMC VNX storage arrays, and Azure/AWS Cloud Storage.

* Proven experience working with the TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Networking VPN's, switching, and routing.

* Advance Scripting experience preferred (Batch, WMI, VBScript, PowerShell). Ability to write code, package application as a container, deploy it, set up cloud infrastructure as code, set up continuous integration for automated testing.

* Foundational knowledge around Linux systems and integrated converged stack infrastructure & hyper convergence stacks.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Excellent customer facing interaction skills.

Required Skills & Experience

* Excellent customer facing interaction skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or 5 years of System Engineering equivalent experience;

ITIL v3 or greater certifications, preferred.
