Position Summary:
The Banquet Server is responsible for proper table set-up, table service for guests, and knowledge of menu to be served. This person will apply all safe food handling principles as they pertain to this position. This person will work with management and team members to instill and foster the value of The Inn's Mission Statement. This person will focus on our Core Values: Cleanliness and Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, Quality, Meticulous Attention to Detail, and Safety. All team members should improve our systems and overall operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set-up of food area for service.
• Serve guests and clean plates in a courteous manner.
• Maintain a clean and neat work and service area including removal of dishes and breakdown of dining room after service.
• Perform set-up and service for special functions.
• Responsible for set-up of buffets/food areas as listed on BEO .
• Knowledge of menu and basic ingredients in food items including allergy awareness.
• Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Specific Job Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of food items, cleaning practices and simple food preparation.

Minimum Work Experience:

• 1 year food service experience preferred

Work Skills:

• Oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a group under general supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
Standing for extended periods of time and ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Night and weekend hours are required to fulfill business needs.
