Job Summary .
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
  • Provide friendly, courteous and professional service to guests in the Banquets department and Food & Beverage outlets while maintaining high level of service as per Langham Hospitality Group and Forbes standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
  • Responsible for the proper set-up of tables and bars in assigned meeting rooms according to banquet event orders throughout shift with attention to details
  • Responsible for serving food, coffee, water and other beverages to guests/clients as required on the banquet event order
  • Responsible for the food order taking by repeating the order to guest / clients for accuracy
  • Cooperate closely with other members of the banquet team including servers, house attendants and kitchen associates
  • Responsible for guest satisfaction by resolving complaints to ensure a successful meeting experience
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of banquet rooms and banquet areas during and after banquet functions
  • Responsible for side work to include inspecting linen, china, silverware and condiments
  • Provide knowledge of the hotel, facilities and local city attractions to respond to guest/clients inquiries
  • Must adhere to All State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to insure all laws are being followed
Requirement .
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior Food & Beverage serving experience required
  • 2 – 4 years of Hotel Banquet serving experience required
  • IL Sanitation License, TIPS and BASSET licenses required
  • CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred
  • Luxury hotel banquet experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Point of Sales system preferred
