Summary:
Be part of our talented Food and Beverage team as Bar Attendant - Specialty Restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa. Located in Greater Palm Springs, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa is completing a property-wide renovation and up-branding from Regency to Grand. Set to debut in 2024, Grand Hyatt will feature 531 newly transformed luxury guestrooms, suites, casita-style villas, and two brand new Celebrity Chef (Angelo Sosa) food & beverage venues.

The Bar Attendant provides support to Bartenders anticipating their needs and setting up the bar for successful service. This is a fast-paced position that will involve constant customer interaction. Responsibilities include:

• Check for low levels onliquor bottlesandmixers, and stock the bar fully.
• Prep garnishes (lemon and lime wedges and wheels, herbs, bloody-mary garnishes, pickles, olives, etc), and label and date containers.
• Juice citrus, pour into squeeze bottles, and label and date them.
• Refillice bins.
• Change outbeer kegs.
• Replenishnapkins,toothpicks,straws, ashtrays, peanuts, and other counter items.
• Dustliquor bottlesand any other surfaces that collect dust.

• Restockempty liquor and wine bottles.
• Interact with customers.
• Follow directions from the bartender orbar manager, and try to anticipate their needs.

• Polish glasses and dishes.
• Set up and tear down the bar at each shift.
• Restockall bar containers for the next shift, including juicing citrus for bar use the next night.
• Clean no-slip mats behind the bar.
• Put away all liquor and beer deliveries that came in during the day.

The hourly pay-rate for this position is $16.25 with the opportunity to earn additional income through tips.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift a certain amount of weight and work on their feet for 8+ hours.
• A good attitude and a desire to work collaboratively with various otherstaff members.
• A willingness to work late hours, often starting in the afternoon and going well into the night until closing and cleaning is complete.
• To be the legalminimum ageto serve alcohol.
• Certification to serve alcohol.
• The ability tomultitaskand to switch tasks quickly as needed.
• Strong organization skills and a process-oriented approach.
• Soft skillsincludingcommunication skills, attentiveness, flexibility, quick thinking, punctuality, curiosity, and a customer-first mindset.

• Experience in a fast-paced environment or in the hospitality industry.
