An entry-level position providing hands-on experience in collegiate summer baseball. Join the Lakeshore Chinooks for the summer to gain a behind-the-scenes experience like no other. You'll learn the ins and outs of a sports organization within the Northwoods League.

The Baseball Operations & Clubhouse Intern will assist in the daily operations of the baseball team, both on and off the field. This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role that provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in multiple areas of baseball operations, including game-day responsibilities, clubhouse management, and direct player interaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Official Scorer / Scoreboard and Pitch Clock Operation
  • Assist the coaching staff with in-game and post-game statistical charting, including tracking player performance, pitch data, and other relevant metrics.
  • Support day-to-day clubhouse operations, including maintaining a clean and organized environment for players and coaches.
  • Handle all team laundry needs, ensuring uniforms and gear are cleaned and ready for use.
    • Assist with checking players in and out of the clubhouse, and managing player arrivals and departures for games and practices.
  • Assist with setting up and taking down all equipment for batting practice, including nets, screens, and cages.
  • Provide support by throwing BP as needed, hitting infield and outfield while ensuring players get the necessary reps during batting practice.
  • Assist with additional game-day responsibilities as needed, ensuring smooth execution of operations.


PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
  • Attend stadium set up/take down prior to and following the season
  • Ability to throw BP and hit fungo
  • Must be available for all Chinooks home games (which include weeknights, weekends and some holidays)
  • Completion of assigned tasks on schedule
  • Cooperation, responsiveness, dependability and proper attitude in dealing with others including co-worker and customers
  • Conformance to company personnel, safety, quality and housekeeping policies, procedures and practices
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a current students (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Strong time management and attention to detail
