BCS Volunteer and Donations Specialist- Winter Garden FL

Bethany Christian Services' Refugee Adult and Family programs aim to help refugees adjust to their new life in the United States. Volunteer and donations specialists work to recruit volunteers and find innovative ways to acquire donations need to aid in resettlement. Bethany's Winter Garden office is looking for a self-motivated VISTA to help develop the donations and volunteer programs there. This person would be required to learn about the volunteer services in place at our headquarters in the Grand Rapids offices, and work to implement a similar program within our Refugee and Immigrant Services programs. In particular, this donations coordinator would help set up matches between in-kind donations and refugees, and maintain a donations database to track inventory.

Member Duties : 1) Develop and maintain partnerships with local community partners, including donors, to create a sustainable network of support. 2) Create sustainable support for the sponsoring organization and the community to resettle refugees. 3) Develop curriculum to educate clients about tenant rights and responsibilities.
