Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our admissions team as Beacon Liaisons. Reporting to the Community Outreach Lead, this short-term, temporary position is ideal for current staff looking to earn extra pay or parents eager to get involved. Beacon Liaisons will play a crucial role in our student recruitment efforts by tabling at community events, working on special projects, canvassing door-to-door, and supporting various recruitment events. This is a part-time position with an hourly pay rate of $20.
Key Job Responsibilities

• Represent Great Lakes Academy at community events, providing information and answering questions about the school.
• Canvass door-to-door in targeted neighborhoods to distribute informational materials and engage with prospective families.
• Assist with the organization and execution of recruitment events, including setup, breakdown, and on-site support.
• Work on special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall recruitment strategy.
• Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure cohesive and effective outreach efforts.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with the public and representing GLA.
• Provide feedback and insights from community interactions to help improve recruitment strategies.

Ideal Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic and outgoing personality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Familiarity with the South Chicago community is a plus.
• Previous experience in outreach, customer service, or related fields is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Must be at least 18 years old.
3. Eligibility to work in the United States on a part-time basis.

Compensation

• Hourly pay: $20
