Summary of Role:

This is a full-time position focused on employee benefits, where you will collaborate closely with SVPs, Account Executives, and Account Managers to service client accounts. Your role will involve managing a designated portfolio of clients on a daily basis, ensuring effective communication through verbal, electronic, and written channels. Additionally, you will work to build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and internal team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in quarterly client meetings to develop an annual strategy for targeted employee communications and present communications offerings and make recommendations of suitability. Topics may include open enrollment, wellness, or other issues such as retirement or vacation as requested.
  • Provide recommendations for methods of communication that are best suited to the client need- such as live meetings versus recorded videos versus WebEx and further suggest what video format would be most appropriate if video as chosen. Video formats will include mobile-friendly, auditorium (large screen) friendly or optimized for PC viewing.
  • Development and execute the following communications deliverables for clients:
    • Live meetings.
    • Live and recorded webinars.
    • Recorded videos.
    • Print materials as requested.
  • Provide peer review and proofreading for printed materials developed by client or account managers such as enrollment guides, posters, flyers or handouts. Match sold plan spreadsheets and confirmed offerings with printed materials, check that premiums match sold plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries during open enrollment
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
  • Solid understanding of the factors and issues that drive employee benefits
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in video authoring software, or if not currently proficient, be willing to quickly develop these skills through self-motivated learning including online courses, and practice as needed.
  • Commit to maintain technical proficiency by continued awareness of software updates and becoming proficient on new technologies as they are introduced.
  • Proficiency or willingness to quickly develop skills in the areas of HTML5, SWF video files, FTP procedures for websites and maintenance of our web domain, through self-motivated learning.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Health Benefits or related industry experience required
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in college, community, internship, or co-op experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with InDesign a big plus
