Bilingual Patient Receptionist Representative

One of Insight Global's clients is seeking a medical phone receptionist for an OBGYN outpatient practice in Trenton, NJ. This person will greet patients and visitors when they walk in. This person will be taking all phone calls, routing phone calls to different people within the hospital, taking insurance cards, scanning them in, taking co-pays, scheduling follow-ups, and sometimes calling office visit referrals.

This is a fast-paced environment with an opportunity to find a full-time role within the growing health system. The schedule will be 8:00am-4:30pm Mon-Fri (federal holidays off).

Additional responsibilities include:

Obtain copies of insurance cards, driver's license, authorizations, and referrals; enter them into the system.

Collect co-payments and outstanding balances at check-in, time of service balances, and estimated balances at check-out.

Refer patients to Central Billing Office staff regarding past due balances, questions, and/or resolution.

Review and comply with patient account notes and appointment Notes in the system.

Confirm charges / approve claim creations in the system at Check-Out; Validates and submit claims for real-time adjudication

Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years experience as a front desk receptionist, patient services, hospital call center, patient scheduler, etc.
- Bilingual - Spanish speaking
- Experience with insurance cards, scheduling appointments, or collecting copayments
- Hospital experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Athena experience
- Experience in the specific department in which one would be stationed
