The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Cash Reporting and Reconciliation.
    • Perform daily import of all banking transactions via download from multiple banking websites.
    • Perform daily and monthly reconciliation for processed lockbox.
    • Analyze and review bank accounts for unidentified transactions, and provide detailed reporting.
    • Thoroughly analyze deposit related database reports and reconcile to cash posting.
    • Document and report cash variances to Manager, as well as, various members of the hospital finance team.
    • Run and log several automated system reports and prepare for upload into various databases.
    • Produce monthly reports relevant to areas of responsibility utilizing existing automated relational databases.
    • Prepare departmental and Controller's office monthly cash reports. This includes fee-for-service, capitation and contract monies totaled by provider.
    • Prepare monthly Cost of Billing invoices and charge expenses to JUP departments and other Physician Business Services clients.
    • Compile statistical reports to measure the performance of the practices and JUP Business Services. Monitor changes in performance and report radical changes.


  • Database Creation, Maintenance and Support.
    • Assist Management with the design and maintenance of relational databases to streamline operational procedures.
    • Assess user's needs and initiate the design and creation of new objects to effectively meet those needs.
    • Assist Manager in the creation, development and design of new reporting initiatives.
    • Perform backup for database
    • Provide ongoing assistance and troubleshoot database related activities.
    • Perform on-going database modifications and enhancements as necessary.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and proven aptitude to master new software applications as necessary.
  • General understanding of health care operations and billing procedures.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
