Responsibilities

  • Process electronic billing adjudication
  • Answer phone calls in a prompt and professional manner regarding general billing questions including 3rd Party, Hospice, Medicare, Medicaid and payments
  • Maintains confidence and protects sensitive information for patients
  • Reports to billing supervisor
  • Works closely with others within the team
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year long term care pharmacy experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong knowledge of private pay billing, Medicare A billing and adjudication of Medicare B and D
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks
  • Well-received/respected by coworkers
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Be a motivated self-starter
  • Optimistic and confident with willingness to maintain positive company morale
