Job Summary:

Provide safe and properly functioning clinical equipment systems and electronic instrumentation in a cost-effective manner.

Position Responsibilities:

Uses critical thinking skills to inspect, trouble-shoot and repair clinical equipment systems and electronic equipment

Completes work orders and documents completion of work orders and outcomes

Maintains equipment records

Installation and inventory of biomedical equipment

Process equipment recall and alerts according to procedures

Coordinates project onset, implementation and debriefing for ongoing process improvements

Assists with cross training of other employees of equipment safety, operation, repair and usage

Attends seminars and training sessions

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in Biomedical Engineering with demonstrated working knowledge of non-life support and life support with specialty knowledge of ventilators, anesthesia equipment, or lasers.

Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering preferred.

Training/Certification/Licensure: Valid driver's license required for travel between sites.
