Shift: 1st shift flexible 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with an on call rotation 6 times a year for one week.
Job Summary:Under guidance and/or supervision, the responsibilities of the Biomedical Engineering Technician I include assisting or performing installation, calibration, inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of basic patient care equipment such as patient monitoring, surgical devices, infusion devices, other basic diagnostic/therapeutic equipment and other related technical equipment. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
3 years of related experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment is preferred
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Associate degree in Biomedical or Electrical Technology or equivalent military training is required. In lieu of the associate degree, a total of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Familiarity with medical technology is required.
Specialized training in medical technology service and support is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.
Strong analytical skills and critical thinking ability.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect basic patient care equipment such as patient monitoring, surgical devices, infusion devices, basic diagnostic/therapeutic equipment and other related technical equipment, preferred.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Valid WI driver's license is required.
