As the Brand & Event Marketing Coordinator, you support the Brand Strategy team with involvement in brand-extensions including Merchandising, Events, Game Presentation, Social Media and Influencer Marketing which will all benefit from your ability to provide day-to-day support of amplifying the brand.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Oversee game day concourse experiential activations including set up & tear down for all Pistons home games. Ensuring alignment with Operations, Game Presentation & Partnerships to improve the Detroit fan experience.
  • Responsible for Pistons archival assets within Little Caesar's Arena, working collaboratively with ISE curators to maintain and update Pistons memorabilia.
  • Partner with Director, Brand Marketing to complete all phases of experiences and events.
  • Inclusive of owning, ideating, planning, and implementing internal and external facing events and facilitating post event/initiative summaries, surveys or recaps where necessary.
  • Assist with planning and execution of all big brand initiatives within the organization inclusive of monthly initiatives and theme nights and department-specific strategy pillars that tie back to the overarching brand narrative.
  • Works collaboratively to ensure cohesion and alliance of all activities that touch the fan across various departments, including Revenue, Marketing, Production, Social Media, PR, Community & Social Responsibility etc.
  • Participate in team meetings and creative brainstorms around internal processes, client trends or needs, deliverables, or general matters specific to brand growth and development.
  • Assist Director, Brand Marketing with key partner, influencer & retail executions by handling travel, accommodations, contracts, talent gifting, and event credentials where necessary and as it relates to building the brand.
  • Handle creative requests and budget tracking for Brand Strategy department.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned

What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in Marketing, Communications and/or Events
  • High-energy, creative and results driven marketer who is a self-starter that can work across functional matrix team
  • Highly organized and meticulous with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing and able to work extended hours, including games and events on nights and weekends
  • Passionate about brand storytelling, creative solutions and brand building
  • Outstanding professionalism and polish in demeanor
  • Naturally curious and stays apprised of cultural trends, local trends, industry trends, and new brand-building methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
