E-commerce's Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality.

The Brand Protection Analyst Intern within Governance and Experience engages directly with a wide network of stakeholders including rights holders, Intellectual Property associations and service providers to understand their brand protection needs and to collaborate on initiatives aimed at Intellectual Property Rights protection. You will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining positive relationships between our organization and external stakeholders.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below:

Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26)
Monday, June 9
Monday, June 23
We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Responsibilities:
-Support teams in responding to, investigating, managing and resolving high-impact brand-related incidents and escalations around product authenticity
-Support and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders
-Cultivate a network of contacts to support the organization's advocacy efforts
-Support collaborations with industry associations, advocacy groups, and coalitions to advance common goals and objectives
-Build and maintain an effective network in support of TikTok shopping's Brand protection program both internally (e.g. key business representatives, Intellectual Property Legal, public relations, communications, marketing teams), and externally through supporting our Brand Protection team efforts
-Plan and roll out events and activities to promote awareness of TikTok shopping's Intellectual Property Rights protection program for internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
-Currently pursuing a Masters degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field
-Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
-Analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex policy issues into actionable strategies, proficiency in research and analysis of legislative and regulatory issues, and excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:
-Prior experience in Intellectual Property, public affairs, brand relations or a related field, with a proven track record of successful advocacy efforts
-Understanding of Intellectual Property and Brand Protection regulatory frameworks
