Position description
The UCLA Department of Radiology is recruiting for a full-time Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical Series, all ranks, in the Breast Imaging (BI) Section. The successful candidate will join an outstanding team of BI experts who provide exceptional care to women in a broad geographic area served by widely distributed UCLA Radiology's Breast and Women's Imaging Centers. Titles in this series are assigned to academically qualified individuals who are in full-time service of the University, who are excellent in teaching and clinical service, who are engaged in creative academic activities, and who are receptive to the new AI environment.
The Department encourages candidates to apply who have experience in and who have demonstrated commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds and to improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students through teaching and mentoring activities. The candidate will teach top-flight radiology fellows and excellent radiology residents.

The salary range for this position is $307,671-$564,200. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences compensation plan ( https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf ), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Qualified applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent. American Board of Radiology certification or equivalent certification (or eligibility to take/pass the certifying examination within 15 months of completing residency), completion of a breast or women's imaging fellowship, and eligibility for a California Medical License are required.
Preferred qualifications
A strong interest and ability in teaching and creative academic activities are needed. The candidate must possess exemplary patient communication skills and excellent clinical skills in all facets of breast imaging, including full field digital and digital breast tomosynthesis ((DBT) screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, breast MRI and all breast interventional skills, including stereotactic, ultrasound and MRI-guided procedures. Prior post-training clinical experience is advantageous, as are skills in women's Imaging and clinical research. An interest in or previous experience with AI is viewed favorably. A collegial attitude and commitment to teamwork are highly favored.
