Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant

THIS IS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING
Work will start on the first day of availability and conclude on the final day of the season (either September 10 or the last day of playoffs.)
Applicants must have the ability to work the entire season.
Previous baseball play-by-play experience is required, with summer collegiate or professional baseball work as preferred experience.
In addition to prior broadcast experience, the qualified candidate must display excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.
Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred with knowledge of graphic design and editing of video and audio.
Ability to take direction and adjust quickly in fast-paced situations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as the number two broadcaster on radio and tv broadcasts during home games.
• Assist in production of broadcast, including pregame and postgame shows and ancillary programming, including set-up and striking of equipment.
• Develop and distribute relevant game day materials such as stat packs, team rosters, lineup sheets, box scores, and game notes for each game.
• Conduct interviews with players and coaches for broadcasts.
• Write post-game recaps for media distribution and for the team website after each game.
• Learn and operate the live scoring system for the official box score in coordination with the official scorer.
• Assist the social media manager with delivery of game day social media assets.
• Assist in creation/distribution of graphics for social media, video board, etc.
• Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to assisting with community/sponsor events, ticket sales, and assisting with team-sponsored events throughout the season.
Compensation
$2860 / month
Enrolled college students will be able to receive college credit if needed for an internship
