WFSU Public Media
Responsibilities
- Maintain 24/7 satellite uplink/downlink for the Florida Channel including source and return processing and monitoring, troubleshooting, and redundancy testing.
- Perform 24/7 various public and private entity satellite uplinks/downlinks including Emergency Operations and the Florida Lottery.
- Perform weekly uplinks/downlinks for regional PBS content on PBS satellite transponders.
- Ensure maintenance of all associated satellite uplink/downlink gear and the various source and transmission paths, including WFSU/ FM NPR C-Band uplinks. Maintain all IP LANS associated with satellite operations and LTN/Encompass facility in Atlanta, GA.
- Control and monitor 24/7 all access to Satellite transponder SES2 Ku band, Transponder 18 (12 MHz) which include slots for third party lease and keep accurate logs of all access and clearance times of these slots. Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a broadcast environment.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills.

- Proficiency in following verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
