The Georgia State University Office of Budget and Planning is currently seeking to hire a Budget Analyst II. The Budget Analyst II will work within a team comprised of Budget and Planning staff and will report to the Director of Budget and Planning.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
The Budget Analyst II will focus their efforts on the creation, maintenance and analysis of the university's budget and required university system reporting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Analysis and maintenance of university unit budgets, including adjustments of budget system to reconcile errors and standard and ad hoc financial report creation.
- Assists in formulation of the annual original budget, including budget system data entry, review of budget information provided by units, balancing allocation sheets, and compilation of data into summary sheets for unit records.
- Works with colleges and administrative units to resolve a variety of budget checking errors in the financial system.
- Assists in reconciling personnel/position funding/distribution in budget and HR systems.
- Participates in quarterly reconciliation of the university budget amendment to the Board of Regents.
- Assists with annual budget processes including mandatory fee reporting, departmental sales and indirect cost carryforwards.
- Assists financials system users across the University to ensure that business transactions are made in accordance with policies and procedures of the State of Georgia, the Board of Regents and Georgia State University.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field and one year of experience; or combination of education and related experience.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Demonstrable experience with PeopleSoft financials and OneUSG HR processes.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with university fund accounting and business policies/procedures established by the State of Georgia, the Board of Regents and the university.
