Insight Global is seeking a contract Building Engineer for a top Commercial Real Estate company to conduct preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds at a facility in Durham, NC. Responsibilities include reviewing assigned work orders, inspecting fire alarms & HVAC systems, and overseeing minor electrical work. The ideal candidate will be able to respond to emergency situations quickly and be flexible to assist with a variety of tasks.

Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 2+ years of building/facility engineer experience (electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry) in a large, fast-pace corporate office environment
- Excellent communication and ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- CFC Certification
- Electrical Certification
- Knowledge of chillers, boilers, and air handlers
- Experience with a BMS (building management system)
