Job Duties

The Building & Grounds Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of the facility. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Troubleshooting, repairing, and performing various maintenance tasks, including
• plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and other duties as assigned.
• Planning and organizing assigned work, gathering necessary materials, tools, and
• equipment to work efficiently.
• Reading, understanding, and following instructions to complete tasks accurately and safely.
• Adhering to applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills.

This position is considered essential personnel and would be required to work in the event of an emergency or facility need. All SEVTC positions are required to work different shifts and/or overtime as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active, valid driver's license required.
• Experience in maintenance or construction trades (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall).
