Job Summary:

A bus driver's position consists of driving a Transit, Para-transit or Motor-Coach bus on campus, city streets, and state mandated highways. Safely transporting University students, staff/faculty, and general public on a fixed scheduled bus route, on demand response or tour services. Performing a prescribed pre-operational safety maintenance check. Accumulating and recording statistics for daily report. Performing all other responsibilities as assigned. Must be at least 18 years of age or older and able to stoop, bend or kneel to secure wheelchairs to fulfill ADA requirements and lift at least 50 lbs.

Position Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

High School/GED and at least one year of experience driving a bus or like vehicle. Class B commercial license with "P" endorsement and air brake endorsement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of experience driving a bus or like vehicle and CDL License.
