POSITION OVERVIEW :
BA for a Healthcare project
POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS :
Programming Languages (not required to be proficient in any of these, but an understanding of some programming is useful):
RPG/400, RPG/RPGLE, CL/CLLE, AS/400 Query, SQL, FTP, QSH, C, C++, Java, XML, JCL
SDLC Process
Software Troubleshooting (The skill to understand how to troubleshoot a problem is key)
Testing and Debugging
The below are all useful skills to have. Not expected to be experts, but having solid problem solving in these types of areas is key
IBM Mainframe Tools (useful if they have some familiarity with the iSeries, but not critical)
SDF, IMS/System, Network Management Console, Hardware Management Console
Operating Systems: OS/400, Unix, Windows Family
System Design and Implementation
Code Optimization and Documentation
Client Server Architecture
Responsibilities:
Analyzing the business process and client requirements and documenting these and working with developers to successfully respond to those requirements.
Some debugging and Testing of application programs to business requirements
Preparation of test plans and effort estimates for the new requirements.
Analyzing bugs in the existing system.
Submitting requested status reports.
Qualifications:
Over 3+ years of IT experience in the Analysis, Design, Debug and Testing of various applications.
Strong Knowledge in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from analysis through maintenance.
Possess good, structured, analytical skill with focus on debugging techniques, Unit Testing and Testing of application programs.
Good working knowledge in writing SQL queries and able to understand the database, database relation, DSPF's, PRTF's and IFS
Able to work in enhancement, maintenance, and production support projects
Education: Bachelors Degree
