Summary:
The Business Analyst, GDO Excellence will be part of a team committed to improving performance and productivity of trial delivery through system and process change initiatives. In this role, the Business Analyst will demonstrate key skills including process definition and mapping, capturing business requirements, and developing related documentation. The Business Analyst will support defining and measuring business value, as well as identifying appropriate solutions.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in science or technology.
  • Basic understanding of drug development and major clinical systems is required.
  • Foundational understanding of key business process and workflows of clinical operations.
  • Ability to analyze complex sets of data and provide insights.
  • Ability to support and provide appropriate feedback for the development and enhancements of business processes and systems.
  • Ability to develop functional requirements, user stories, and processes to align business key process flows with system requirements.
  • Skilled in writing and updating process documentation, training materials and presentations.
  • Work is done under close supervision of GDO Excellence Lead.
  • Does not have any supervisory responsibility.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a high paced and frequently shifting environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Understanding and evaluating current business processes and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Acquiring a deep understanding of existing systems/platforms currently enabling clinical trial execution.
  • Capturing business needs, creating users stories, and researching new advancements as potential solutions to business needs.
  • Ability to use data to articulate insights and findings through presentations to relevant stakeholders, effectively telling a story using the data youve gathered.
  • Collaborating with users and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Contributing creative, out-of-the-box thinking in support of innovation and problem solving.
  • Serves as Business Analyst on a Global Development Operation Excellence team.
  • Partners with the GDO Excellence Lead, Business Leads, Technical Leads, and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Works as part of a project team to review and assess requests, explore ideas and enhancements, and evaluate global requirements and ongoing business-driven change initiatives.
  • Supports the development of value-driven business cases and well-defined implementation plans.
  • Establishes and develops effective relationships with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to ensure the business and IT delivers solutions which align with business strategies and function priorities.
  • Develop strong understanding of existing business processes and systems within the Global Development Operations organization.
  • Assist in writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions to support implementation of solutions.
