Qualifications
• Good understanding of the life insurance industry with experience in new business & underwriting
• Prior configuration experience with the Client Life Insurance Platform (ALIP) including configuring insurance products (set up of parameters, values, product and rider rules, administration rules, correspondence rules, state specific variation rules, etc) or other similar commercial software solution

Key Responsibilities
• Document requirements for the business / technical / integration features in the development application backlog. Includes, but is not limited to, developing stories, defining rules and use cases, documenting process flows, mapping data between applications, configuring products, etc.
• Configuration of Product and Business rules on the ALIP platform
• Conduit between product owner and various solution delivery teams. Requires working across multiple NYL teams and vendors to ensure business functionality is understood and properly prioritized
• Partner with architects, designers and technical leads to design solutions that satisfy business requirements . Requires understanding of data flow, system dependencies and interactions
• Familiarity with recommended technical solutions in order to facilitate discussions to validate that the solutions will enable desired business benefits
• Coordinate CRs with project mgmt and solution delivery teams to identify impact and prioritize
• Partner w/ QA for optimal test coverage, and set acceptance criteria on new technology capabilities
