Business Analyst, Selling Partner Services - Finance Analytics and Insights (SPS-FIA)

Amazon seeks an experienced Business Analyst to serve as a lead contributor for Selling Partner Services - Finance Analytics and Insights team (SPS-FIA). The Sr. BA will lead the financial analytics and reporting for WW Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA).
The WW FBA team's mission is to support our Selling Partners by providing best in class experience for growing small businesses. We are optimizing online capabilities through channels enabling sellers to reach customers around the world. The team will deliver on this goal through concentrated efforts across critical aspects of Supply Chain, including Inbound and Placement, Inventory Management, Returns and Reimbursements, and Seller Success.
This role will be responsible for closely partnering with finance and business teams to work backwards from top business priorities in order to deliver data solutions and enable effective long term strategic decision making. You will be responsible for working with terabytes of data to develop automated and self service scalable solutions for Finance and Business Partners. You will be responsible for building a robust set of operational, financial and business metrics, requirements documentation and will utilize metrics to determine improvement opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
- Build reports and analysis utilizing advanced SQL skills.
- Understand the business challenges and identify data-driven business insights with effective presentation of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders
- Leverage data to increase the efficiency of our programs working closely with the business teams to drive optimization
- Update existing and create new metrics and reporting that help drive business conclusions, continually improving reporting and analysis processes
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to help determine key business conclusions
A day in the life
A typical day in this role will entail collaboration between internal and external teams to understand business requirements, combined with self-owned actions to deliver on top business priorities. This role will entail working with partners and stakeholders (SCOT, SPS, Operations, FBA) to understand the business requirements, and determine the best way to effectively organize, report and leverage data to achieve the teams goals. This role will serve as a critical piece to the larger team's by success across the team's various workstreams including FBA Inbound, Placement, Inventory Management, Returns & Reimbursements, and Seller Success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering , analytics, mathematics, statistics or a related technical or quantitative field
- 5+ years of business or financial analysis, product costing, procurement, or a quantitative role experience
- 5+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
- Experience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling
- Fluency in a modeling language such as Python or R
- Experience with one or more of the statistical modeling languages/toolboxes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
