Job Summary:

Business Development/Relational:

  1. Engage, support and develop relationships with clients, prospects, centers of influence to produce business. Grow into becoming lead advocate/relationship with certain clients < $100,000 revenue.
  2. Participate in key prospect and client meetings; deliver post meeting details/next steps to the Associate teams and collaborating with them to ensure the following meeting is most successful (presentation, messaging).
  3. Coordinate thoughtful and creative follow-ups/touch points with clients/prospects/centers of influence to help differentiate and build trust.
  4. Assist with planning/coordination and attending client/prospect/center of influence events.
  5. Leverage LinkedIn for opening new doors and supporting Producer/BDA’s network with key contacts. Includes research of prospects that Producer/BDA are connected to and asking for support.
  6. Develop/maintain marketing materials in accordance with Producer brand/strategy.
  7. Building/leveraging brand on LinkedIn to support and grow professional and social network (LinkedIn, Other).
  8. Review Producer book of business/relationships with Producer to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  9. Expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance classes and workshops (if needed).
  10. Act as an extension of the Producer on a daily basis; represent the Producer and coordinate the services of all Lockton departments to fulfill and exceed clients’ expectations.


Associate Team Coordination:

  1. Learn, understand and leverage Lockton resources required to position Lockton to win.
  2. Collaborate with Producer and Unit Manager (UM) on strategy and value proposition, including:
    • Participate and eventually lead monthly UM Strategy/Update meetings, including discussion around supporting, enhancing client and prospect relationships and current initiatives underway.
    • Providing assignments in partnership with the UM on RFP written response including assignments to Producer/self.
    • Participate and eventually lead prospect internal meeting preparation including assigning roles and rehearsal with team.


Operational/Administrative:

  1. Assists Producer with developing annual budget and quarterly forecasts. Assists with variance reporting.
  2. Actively manages CRM (Salesforce) and related systems (Salesloft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn) for Producer.
  3. Manages client expiration dates. Identifies key pre-renewal meetings that Producer needs to attend.
  4. Protects the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position.
  5. Manage and track short and long term pipeline to move relationships/deals forward (including Salesforce and Excel)


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance will be given priority consideration, as well as degrees in Business Administration, Accounting, or other related analytical Business fields.
  2. 3-5 years professional experience performing executive-level sales support, business development support, or similar account management experience in a corporate environment, ideally working with larger/complex organizations (ie, public and/or $100M+ revenue private companies, 500+ employees, global)
  3. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  4. Advanced skills with email and calendar systems such as Outlook.
  5. Experience using a CRM system such as Salesforce (preferred).

  11. Strong verbal communication, written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  12. Ability to make decisions in compliance with established company standards of quality performance and service.
  13. Firm, fluent grasp of the English language with high level verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility.
  14. Illinois resident.
  15. Travel as needed.
  16. Legal right to work in the United States.
