The Business Development for Strategic Accounts will be a key member of a team that manages a cross-functional process for complex deals in strategic accounts. The process will allow Sales teams and Partners to submit requests for resources and/or investments for qualified opportunities. The team will help build a scalable mechanism that includes: an Amazon-wide approach to engage identified opportunities holistically, weekly coaching and ideation sessions, disproportionate investments and prioritization, rapid action cycles with calculated risk, and early alignment with partners. This team will provide a consolidated view of blocked opportunity pipeline that requires investment and align resources needed and/or action plans. The team will ensure opportunities are properly qualified with a clear ROI that allows the team to prioritize scarce resources, expedite existing program support or approve nonlinear investments in rapid action cycles.

In particular, this role will: 1/frequently monitor key metrics, 2/distill insights and report in Weekly Business Reviews to the key stakeholders, 3/provide business requirements to build reports and telemetry for frequent monitoring, 4/ensure procedures are followed to ensure compliance within financial guardrails, 5/collect best practices and insights that can be replicated in other cases, and 6/triage requests in the queue to balance workloads across the team to maximize capacity while matching skills and expertise to the type of deal review.

Key job responsibilities

• \tOrchestrate multiple cross-functional teams to develop plans to win strategic deals

• \tIdentify patterns within Strategic Accounts and adjust offerings to support

• \tBuild repeatable processes, tools, and reporting for globally dispersed teams, to simplify execution on strategic deals

• \tDevelop global communications plans for the initiative and ensure AWS Leadership is kept updated on performance, risks and blockers

• \tContribute to annual strategy planning, including working with teams (e.g., Sales, Partners, Finance, Services, Marketing)

• \tHandle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the cloud computing market

• \tDemonstrate analytical aptitude, with experience in analyzing data and trends to identify opportunities to simplify or improve customer experiences

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

- 5+ years of professional or military experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
