The Business Development (BD) team is responsible for new customer pursuits and will be involved from Request for Proposals, solutioning, pricing modeling, client tech reviews up through award, including contractual review and IT business development to IT PM transition. The Business Development Lead is responsible for managing new customer pursuits from an IT perspective. They will serve as the conduit amongst all the IT functional team leads in delivering the IT solution and cost for new client implementations in a timely manner. The BD lead will be responsible for attending pursuit calls from Kick-off, Engineering Design Reviews, Pricing Inputs Reviews, Core Pricing Reviews, Exec and Sr. Executive Meetings as an active participant. The successful candidate will deliver technology solutions and cost that are aggressively responsible to meet or exceed engineered solution designs and accounting for client requirements. They will partner extremely close with the IT functional teams such as WMS, TM, Integration, Infrastructure, IT PM, Solution Deliver Leads and IT Account Management teams. They will serve as a liaison between the business solution teams, customers and our IT functional teams. This role will require travel for client tech reviews, tours and/or demos. Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Technology related Supply Chain industry experience specifically focused on solution design for warehouse distribution and transportation management
- Three (3) years or more IT business development solutioning
- Two (2) years or more of Supply Chain and Distribution Management Technology required
- Strong experience managing across functional teams
- Experience in the 3PL/4PL sales process: RFI/RFPs, bid response, IT cost model preparation, architectural diagrams, client presentation and launch team handoffs.
- Strong business acumen: ability to lead effective meetings with customers and internal members
- Business Development solutioning including but not limited to: facilitating/translating client needs and objectives into requirements and project estimates, enabling competitive and quality technology solutions in response to clients needs, solution documentation, driving innovative and creative solutions to business challenges, serving as solution lead to construct data flow between Ryder customers and Ryder applications.
- Strong documentation skills as it relates to business requirements and scope definition, addressing and documenting critical design parameters around the IT solution.
- Candidate must possess strong client facing skills and understand the mechanisms for building strong, long-lasting internal and external customer relationships, including the ability to generate results through influence.
- Ability to manage multiple pursuits across all verticals, set priorities and adapt to changing requirements
- Deliver timely, accurate and aggressively responsible IT costing models by managing all functional IT teams that are involved in the pursuit.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Specific SCALE, Active or WMOS implementation experience
- Two (2) years or more Supply Chain Management, experience with 3PL/4PL preferred
- Manhattan SCALE or WMOS operational and capability knowledge
- Experienced and Strong in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Bachelor's degree logistics, business, supply chain or related field
