As a Commercial Energy Storage Systems Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of Molex in the North American/global market. You will be working closely with sales and product development, with an exciting opportunity to develop and execute strategic business plans to expand our market presence and increase sales into the Commercial Energy Storage Systems market segment.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with global sales in the selling and promotion of Molex solutions in the Commercial Energy Storage Systems market segments (participating in multi-location account development activities and meetings when necessary.) Significant travel, both domestic and international, will be required.
  • Be a subject matter expert and provide consultative selling by demonstrating the value and benefits of our solutions, tailored to a customer's requirements. Preparing and presenting proposals and proof-of-concepts, both in person and through digital interactions.
  • Develop an understanding of target and prospect profiles, applications, needs, problems, and their expectations whilst also being aware of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) and the current state of the business in the assigned region.
  • Track trends and dependencies in the industry/market segments that impact primary sources of sales/revenues in the assigned region. Identify and monitor competitor presence, and their developments/position, in the assigned region and target accounts.

Expectations
  • Use economic thinking and principle-based management when developing new business for the CCS division power and signal business unit, leveraging your comparative advantage in team collaboration and opportunity execution.
  • Align customers with Molex capabilities, optimizing our strengths/expertise, whilst also positioning Molex as a preferred supplier.
  • Prepare and present regular detailed reports, market insights, and forecasts to guide strategic decision making by the management team.
  • Knowledge share with colleagues and peers to increase the power and signal business unit's competitive advantage


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • College degree, preferably in an engineering or business field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in sales or business development
  • A deep understanding Commercial Energy Storage Systems market segment


What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5+ years of experience as business development manager in the commercial energy storage systems market segment
  • Experience working directly with external customers
  • Proficient in Salesforce.
