Your Role:

As a Business Development Specialist, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities in the fields of clinical API diagnostics, pharmaceutical applications, and commercial applications of stable isotopes.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand current trends, potential growth areas, and competitive dynamics in North America and Western Europe.
  • Develop and implement business strategies that ensure growth and market penetration for stable isotope applications in the clinical and pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry players, including potential clients, research institutions, and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with R&D and product teams to guide the development of new products based on market needs and business potential.
  • Represent MilliporeSigma at conferences, seminars, and workshops, promoting the company's capabilities in stable isotopes.
  • Travel 50% domestically with occasional international travel

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a similar discipline
  • 3+ years of experience customer facing or working business experience in chemistry or biochemistry (example: product management or commercial sales)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of stable isotopes and their applications in clinical and pharmaceutical contexts
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business development strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively negotiate with clients and work with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess market opportunities and formulate strategic plans
