As a Business Development Specialist, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities in the fields of clinical API diagnostics, pharmaceutical applications, and commercial applications of stable isotopes.

Your Role:
As a Business Development Specialist, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities in the fields of clinical API diagnostics, pharmaceutical applications, and commercial applications of stable isotopes.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand current trends, potential growth areas, and competitive dynamics in North America and Western Europe.
- Develop and implement business strategies that ensure growth and market penetration for stable isotope applications in the clinical and pharmaceutical sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry players, including potential clients, research institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with R&D and product teams to guide the development of new products based on market needs and business potential.
- Represent MilliporeSigma at conferences, seminars, and workshops, promoting the company's capabilities in stable isotopes.
- Travel 50% domestically with occasional international travel
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a similar discipline
- 3+ years of experience customer facing or working business experience in chemistry or biochemistry (example: product management or commercial sales)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of stable isotopes and their applications in clinical and pharmaceutical contexts
- Proven ability to develop and execute business development strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively negotiate with clients and work with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess market opportunities and formulate strategic plans
