Business Development and Capture Manager - This individual will lead efforts to identify, qualify, and capture strategic federal business opportunities across civilian agencies. The ideal candidate will have a record of identifying and positioning for success on range of opportunities; working collaboratively across multiple business units and delivery teams; and making significant contributions to proposals.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identification and qualification of leads from relationships, customer engagement, acquisition forecasts, and other sources that advance AIS corporate goals and are in line with its growth strategy.
  • Development of a network of key partners to engage with for strategic pursuits.
  • Lead capture of business unit and corporate priorities including alignment of solutions, staffing, and proposal content.
  • Identify critical contract vehicles and related opportunities over a 24-36 month time horizon.
  • Provide strategic insight into core agencies including understanding their priorities, acquisition strategies, preferred vendors (including their tech stack), and spending trends.
  • Make significant contributions to proposal content upon RFP release.

May also include:
  • Development of partner and client-facing marketing collateral
  • Identification and support of targeted industry and federal marketing opportunities
  • Fostering relationships with industry technology partners

Profile of Success

  • At least 8-10 years of experience, 3 of which delivering cloud-based solutions to federal agencies.
  • Experience winning opportunities $50M or more.
  • Experience across the business development lifecycle.
  • Experience bidding and successfully winning federal IT-related contracts.
  • College degree in a relevant field.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience delivering solutions and/or capturing new work at the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of Energy, Department of Health and Human Services, and/or Treasury Department
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Power Apps, and/or Dynamics
  • Experience with generative artificial intelligence models
