This is a hybrid role - 2 days remote and 3 days in the Malvern, PA office.

Position Overview

The Business Insights Analyst plays a critical role within the Business Intelligence and Analytics team. This role is focused on leveraging data and business knowledge to uncover actionable insights, supporting key stakeholders in making informed decisions. The Business Insights Analyst will work closely with various departments to understand their needs, analyze data, and deliver insights that drive business performance and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Insight Generation
  • Use advanced analytical techniques to analyze data from various sources, identifying trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of business operations, customer behaviors, and market trends to provide actionable insights.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their business challenges and data needs, delivering tailored insights and recommendations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on how to leverage data and insights to achieve business goals.
  • Present findings and insights in a clear, concise, and compelling manner, using visualizations and storytelling to engage stakeholders.

Strategic Support and Decision Making
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business, its operations, and the competitive landscape to provide contextually relevant insights.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics to align analytical efforts with organizational priorities and strategy.
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing data-driven insights that inform decision-making processes.

Advanced Analytics and Modeling
  • Utilize predictive modeling, hypothesis testing, and other advanced analytics techniques to forecast business outcomes and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Design and conduct controlled experiments to test business hypotheses and measure the impact of changes.
  • Continuously seek to improve analytical methods and processes, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Reporting and Visualization
  • Prototype interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide insights into key business metrics.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting and analysis efforts.
  • Collaborate with the BI team to establish and maintain company standards for business intelligence and data visualization.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Identify and implement best practices in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Seek opportunities to innovate and improve the way insights are generated and delivered, enhancing the overall impact of the BI function.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, data science techniques, and advanced analytics.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, Databricks).
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikSense) for reporting and visualization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
